After having the engine worked on we left the marina only to find a few minutes later, the engine died. Being towed back to the marina we were beginning to feel like a boomerang. The Racor filters have been cleaned and rebuilt, our fuel and tank have been polished, lines have been cleaned, lift pump replaced and no air in the lines. We thought we were good to go. Trying to make some time and beat the squalls, we motored and to our dismay, three hours later the engine died!

We raised the sails to get as close to our next destination as possible before calling to be towed yet again.

Our fuel delivery issues still exist.

This sailboat had been neglected for some time when she was purchased. Lots of cleaning, sanding, refinishing, new lines, refrigerator, pumps, water heater parts, whole boat water filters, bow thruster, lighting, fuel filters, instruments, air conditioning, etc.... Some of the fun with refitting a sailboat is to be able to do economical but quality improvements. Elbow grease saves a lot of money, watching for sales, knowing when substitutions can be made that will last, and of course enjoying the final product. We sail, fish (haha), dance, fly the drone, sometimes wear bikinis, DIY, ride the motorcycle, listen to great music, and enjoy life. Older sailors don't have a clew when to quit; they just keep lubing their winches.
