Finally Free Ep64

This time on Sailing Intermission we not only got out of the marina…we moved. For Karen the trip was a little tense filled with a fixed bridge and little clearance for the mast, a channel that was often quite shallow and always narrow, plus a draw bridge.

We’re still getting used to Isabella. The hydraulic steering is a little different than what we are used to. We have new hoses on the system and the pump is made by Hynautics.

Next time, we finish our move with more bascule bridges, got stuck in the sand and a traveled through a lock. Steve was battling bouncing off the steel wall of the lock wall. Thank goodness for the bow thruster.

Hugs, kisses and a big thank you to our subscribers for their continued support! If you haven’t already, please subscribe and help us continue our journey.

Cooking, Cruising & Cockpit Dancing | SV Isabella Ep220

Yea! In the last episode we left a stubborn pin and bolt on the Meissner winch soaking. The pin prevented the removal of a bolt which held in some of the gears. After three days of soaking in PB Blaster, using needle nose pliers and a lot of patience, it f...

Karen’s grinding on a winch, or at least trying to as it is stiff and hard. Our 32ST-58 Meissner winch on the port side of the boat is way too stiff. Steve starts to remove the pieces so that it can be properly cleaned and runs into a bit of a sticky sit...
