Yes it’s that time of year again! No one does a boat show quite like Annapolis and this year we had hot sun for most of it so feel very lucky.
There were lots of boats to see and even more gadgets but I have to admit Annapolis has become a place to meet up with old friends, Patrons and fellow YouTubers and just hang out in a wonderful place.
We were nominated again for the International Cruisers Awards, so we got to dress up and go to the party, but it don’t worry it wasn’t all partying we did manage to sort out some boat equipment.
Our main project was wind vane steering. We had done lots of research before the show, Hydrovane seemed like the number one choice for us. The units are still made in Nottingham England but the company is now run by a very nice Canadian family. We had been talking to Will and Sarah beforehand who have been sailing their boat in the Mediterranean this year, but it was nice to meet them at the show and get a close look at the unit. We will have to see if the cruising budget has enough left in it after our current jobs on the hard in Lagos are finished.
