Amazing boat yard stories! | Ep112

This was an unscheduled haul out in Trinidad a place that’s a favorite location for boat work and where we’ve met up with some interesting people and their boats.
In the last episode we featured Jim and his major renovations of a Bop Perry classic, this week we talk to Ken who suffered a double dismasting of his Amel Super Maramu mid Atlantic, you can see more on his YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@SailingAquarius

Some other things featured in this episode:

Dock Lines from CMP Cordage –
https://cmpcordage.com/products/

Stainless Steel water filters from Pure Ocean marine – https://www.pureoceanmarine.com/
*I did contact the tech guys at Pure Ocean Marine to ask about the filters, this is what they sent me:
{ It can be cleaned again and again. It is made of SS316L, PTFE, and food-grade silicone, and has no odor.
Regarding the cleaning of the filter: We recommend using a high-pressure water gun to flush the inside and outside of the filter to flush away the dirt attached to the filter. We believe that the service life of the metal filter element will be more than 2 years. But to be honest, you know us, we just completed this product last year, and maybe we need a little longer to verify its maximum service life.}

PYI Fendertex fenders –
https://www.pyiinc.com/fendertex/inflatable-fenders.html

SEEKR Sirocco2 dc fan, this is where I found it on the UK Amazon site, it costs £153 which I thought was a bit steep, but couldn’t find many alternatives. If anyone finds it cheaper elsewhere leave a note in the comments.
