SDA229 This Season Didn't Go As Planned

We left Florida with a plan for the Bahamas, and it started falling apart almost immediately.

What followed was one of the most challenging and beautiful seasons we’ve had, from early sail damage to a lightning strike that changed everything.

We left Florida with a plan for the Bahamas, but things started going sideways almost immediately with sail damage heading into Bimini.

From there the season took us through some of the most remote parts of the Bahamas, including the Ragged Islands, where we found some of the best diving we’ve ever experienced.

Then everything changed.

A lightning strike left us dealing with damaged systems, ongoing repairs, and trying to keep moving forward without the equipment we normally rely on.

This is what Season 4 actually looked like.

This episode follows our real-life sailing journey from Florida through the Bahamas and into the Dominican Republic, including offshore passages, sail damage, remote anchorages, and the impact of a lightning strike at anchor.
