SDA224 Motoring East in Light Air, Then Beating Into It

Sometimes the ocean gives you a break before asking for it all back.

Day two, bound for the Crooked Acklins, reminds us who’s in charge as we beat into higher than expected wind and waves before finally slipping into peaceful Jamaica Bay for a well earned morning coffee.

Eastbound sailing in the Bahamas is never predictable, and this passage reminded us why.
