Sailing Catamaran Escape - Episode 69- Cyclone Destruction of South Molle Island
April 21, 2024 by Sailing Catamaran Escape | Language: EN Play Time: 00:10:07 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

After having arrived in The Whitsunday Islands, we leave Long Island to first head for Airlie Beach then sail to South Molle Island.
South Molle was always known as one of the major resorts in the area geared for families. A swimming pool, golf course and beach activities, barbeques and a traditional seafood night on Friday was the norm. This all changed when Cyclone Debbie destroyed the island and most of the other resorts in 2017.
We take a look at its present ghostlike state after having fond memories of visiting when it was a thriving tourist resort.
