Episode 50 - Sailing The Solomon Islands - Sanbis Resort & the Toa Maru
We sailed from Tetepare to Ghizo Island, anchoring outside a Resort to witness a pod of Spinner Dolphins near the boat.
Sanbis Resort is located on Mbambanga Island a short boat ride from the town of Gizo. The resort caters for fisherman, surfers, divers, sailors and anybody who wants to spend a relaxing time enjoying Western Province hospitality.
We spent several days scuba diving the nearby reefs including a spectacular trip to The Toa Maru, a large Japanese cargo ship sunk during the war at the northern part of Ghizo Island.
