After sailing north 55 miles from Tanna, we reach Dillons Bay, Erramango Island.
David, builder of the Yacht Club and a Tour Guide approaches in his dug out canoe with some welcome presents..
The following day we have a look around the island with him and find out a bit more.
Erramango was named by the missionaries of the 1800’s as Martyr Island. There were more missionaries killed here than anywhere else.
The current day inhabitants are not very comfortable with their infamous past, believing they were cursed.
There are plans to open up the island more to tourism and show off some of its attractions.
