Sailing the Top Island Destinations of Belize
⛵️Episode 2 of our Belize-Sailing Vacation.
We lifted anchor after a rough night of Easton getting impaled by the catfish. He was up bright and early the next morning fishing again.
We loaded up in the dinghy and headed into town to get ice as our fridge and freezer were not working.
Once we got back we lifted anchor and headed out into the deep blue sea. Easton and Kamden started fishing right away. The winds were perfect as we lifted the sails.
We spent all day sailing and finally arrived at Tobacco Caye. We anchored next to the Bradley's on their boat Apres.
We took the dingy over to their boat to meet them and say hello. Then we took the dinghy to the island for dinnr at Reef's End.
It was the perfect day and the best evening.
The following morning we were stopped by the police to pay to be in the marine park. Afterwards we loaded up once again to go snorkeling. It was so great being back in the water!
We explored the island of Tobacco Caye.
Once back on our boat we made ceviche and took it over to the Bradley's boat for the night.

We spent 15 years working multiple jobs, living BELOW our means, saving every penny we could and investing in real-estate. Well the year of Covid hit and we thought, what the hell let's freaking go, kids and all! The first thing Steve said when he walked onto our boat "It smells like freedom!" We completed our first year of sailing, sold our sailboat Banana Pancakes, in hopes of purchasing a newer one. We didn't find the right boat so we headed back to Idaho. It's been 2 years since then and we are once again ready to go, this time for at least 5 years. We are currently boat shopping and plan on setting sail soon for Seson 2 of Banana Pancakes.
