We bought Avocet in 2018 as newly weds, fresh out of college with a small budget and a dream to explore what lies beyond the horizon. This channel shares the details of our renovations, redesigns, and refits while we simultaneously juggle our respective media businesses offscreen to keep this whole operation afloat. Being able to spend an entire month in my hometown of Santa Cruz was wonderful, which is why leaving was so bittersweet. But before we cast off again Chris left us for Hollywood and Cleo and I (okay, just I) were left to tend to Avocet’s to-do list. When Chris returned we got some biking in and learned more about Santa Cruz’s bike history culture.
