We left Zea Marina in Athens ready for another big adventure – our third canal transit! This time – Corinth Canal in Greece! So excited and ready to go.
All went well we arrived a day before and anchored nearby before checking on the VHF as no prior reservations are needed.
The next day early morning WE GO – to pay… And our well researched and justified fee just was bumped up by 50%!!! What to do now – when we are already right here?
We tried twice going to reason in the hopes to resolve and followed up with an email – NOTHING…
In all fairness, we probably skipped Corinth Canal and for a few more days sailed around beautiful Peloponnese islands to get where we want rather than paying 500 Eur, but oh well….
But we can’t deny – it does look spectacular, so after all – our loss your gain, enjoy! 🙂
