We bash north sailing upwind in 28 knots. The sea state becomes uncomfortable as we remember why “gentleman don’t sail to weather.” Most cruisers heed that advice, and we quickly remember why! Sailing upwind in a strong breeze while also fighting a current may not have been the brightest idea. Our efforts are rewarded when we find some crystal clear water to explore. We could not resist a dingy ride exploring the coast line. What anchorage would not be complete without putting on our bikinis and board shorts and jumping in the sea for a little snorkeling.
