Sandflea is sold. Yep, just like that. The very first person who came to look at her bought her at our full asking price. No haggling, no negotiations, no inspection, no survey, no sea trial… just bought her right then and there.
Now that the sale is final, we will be making a delivery of the boat to the West side of Florida. The new owner lives in Bradenton, and they paid us an additional delivery sum to relocate Sandflea to a marina that is much closer to where they live. While our time with Sandflea is certainly drawing to a close, we’re thankful for the opportunity to spend a few more days with her during this trip across Florida via the Okeechobee Waterway.
The other emotional event we are dealing with is that our time has come to part ways with Wes and Kate. We’ve enjoyed an amazing time together as we explored parts of the Bahamas together, but now they need to start heading North and we are about to head West. We go to dinner at Twisted Tuna to celebrate both the sale of Sandflea and also our last night together before we head off in different directions across the state of Florida.
