What does it take for electric boats to work? Why can’t any boat be converted to electric successfully?
Well, the truth is, any boat can be turned into an electric vessel but its success determined by physics. Sure we can cut down on motoring miles to make it look good but that not really safe.
Today I take a dive into hull design, what makes for a good planning boat and why some hull shapes are just better suited to going fast, hydro generating and creating less drag overall. Spoiler alert; This is why fast boats are not spacious!
