Aluminum hulls are famous for being light and strong but also famous for suffering from electrolysis and corrosion. In this episode, I interview a full-time cruiser on an aluminum sailboat who is sailing around the world. I get to ask the owner about his firsthand experience with owning an aluminum boat and find out what it’s really like to deal with corrosion concerns and stray current in the water as well as the peace of mind that comes from a solidly built yacht.
