After months without posting and lots of speculation about what happened to our boat and the build, we decided it's time to be transparent. In this video, we’ll answer the most common questions, and go in detail through the full timeline, from our first email with the yard to removing the boat.

We’re Duca & Roberta, a Brazilian couple who swapped routine for adventure back in 2016 and never looked back. What began as a one-year sabbatical turned into Odd Life Crafting—a long-form documentary project told in seasons, each one a new DIY challenge and a step toward living the life we dreamed of. Here’s our journey so far:
Season 1 – The Awakening
While traveling and reflecting on what we truly wanted from life, we created this channel to share our path toward a more intentional, creative, and unconventional lifestyle.
Season 2 – Learning by Doing
With no prior experience (and a tiny budget), we built a fully off-grid container house to gain the skills we’d need to one day build our own boat.
Season 3 – The Rebuild
We found a sailboat that had been neglected for over 22 years and spent two full years restoring her, learning everything we could in the process.
Season 4 – The Voyage
We lived aboard and sailed for two incredible years, exploring the Brazilian coast and part of the Caribbean, documenting every step of the journey.
Season 5 – A New Build, A New Life
Now in Europe, we’ve begun building a 43ft aluminum expedition sailboat from scratch—this time while raising the newest (and tiniest) member of our crew, our baby boy. The stakes are higher, but so is our motivation.
