After a tour of the boatyard, we get down to the gritty task of giving our sail boat a complete overhaul in the cheapest way possible. We do this by doing all of it ourselves with a little bit of help from our friends.

During the time in the yard, a pandemic breaks out and we are locked in but we all cope pretty well by finding ways to entertain ourselves and spend most of our time working on the boat.
We start work on the hull with epoxy filler, epoxy paint and anti-foul.

The hull sides get polished and the toe rail gets some fibre glass repairs done. The sacrificial rubbing strip gets repaired and painted and the waterline gets raised.
The main prop and the bow thruster get serviced and the rear bumper bar is repaired. We even get to replace a new speed, depth, temperature transducer and a new wind instrument with display.

All the winches are serviced, the dolphin seat is varnished, the fenders are cleaned and we also get to celebrate Yewan’s birthday!
