Raymarine NMEA2000 Mast Head, Wind Vane Transducer Install From the Raymarine T70216 Pack – pt02

All of our sailboat repair and maintenance blogs are now hosted on our dedicated maintenance channel, MOTHERSHIP MAINTENANCE Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/c/mothershipmaintenance

An edited version of this video is now hosted here: https://youtu.be/XYX9GFcV8-8

In this series of maintenance blogs I swap out an NMEA 0183, B&G through-hull fitting, mast head unit, transducer control unit and dials for units from the Raymarine T70216 Pack.

In Pt01 of this series I replaced our old NMEA 0183, B&G depth transducers with Airmar NMEA 2000 Intelligent Triducer. See Pt01 here: https://youtu.be/OS8Vh17UH08

In this maintenance blog (pt02) I swap out the old B&G mast head unit, for the Raymarine short arm wind vane transducer. It’s not always easy working at the top of the mast, but luckily we were in a marina, which means less swell we and some some boat friends close by to borrow some essential tools for the job!

In the next maintenance blog (Pt03) I will be replacing the old B&G transducer controller with the Raymarine ITC-5 transducer controller, and also replacing the old B&G dials with a single Raymarine I70 multifunction display unit. See Pt03 here: https://youtu.be/taPrfTOBKQM
