Ep 357 | Extraordinary Encounter With a Nesting Turtle, Kimberley, Sailing Nutshell
We leave the mainland and sail out to the many nearby islands.
There are turtle tracks everywhere! We eventually go ashore on one of the most northern beaches and set up a position away from a turtle to film her.
But, she decides to turn around and comes straight at us. What to do! Magnus sits still until she is extremely close to him and then gingerly moves backward. She appears not to be phased by our presence and goes about her business of digging her nest.
It was an experience to witness, especially up so close.
