After a couple of nights with friends in Sifnos in the Cyclades we sail east to an amazing anchorage between Despotiko and Antiparos. This move is prompted by the weather but we are stunned by our strongest winds ever while underway at 38kts. We end up dumping the main completely but we do make it safely as do John and Annie from Blue on Blue.
We are hunkered down here in the shallows for a few days with a great view of the temple, and yes we make it ashore to the little town on Antiparos. Unfortunately we have more orange dust to remove before we crawl through a very shallow passage and set sail for Paros. Wow, there are a lot of big and fast ferries here in the Aegean.

Al, from New Zealand and Kel from Australia met through work in 2010 and have been together ever since. Always infected by the travel bug they finally decided to head off on an adventure and started with Vietnam and Laos before heading to Sri Lanka, India, then Cambodia and Indonesia. Their mission is to explore as many off the beaten track places as possible through a slow travel philosophy on a tight budget.
UPDATE!!! After a few years of saving (thanks Covid) they finally did it. They now own DAKINI, a gorgeous Lagoon 421, and are (re) learning to sail while exploring the Mediterranean.
