We left Gocek and sailed across the Gulf of Fethiye, along with many others, and entered Fethiye to go to anchor. It was a great day at sea, but we were excited to be arriving at one of the busier cities on this part of the coast.
We were not disappointed. Fethiye has an amazing food scene, lots of history to visit, including the stunning King's Tomb, and what must be one of the largest market's around. We really stocked up on provisions here, and left excited to return.

Al, from New Zealand and Kel from Australia met through work in 2010 and have been together ever since. Always infected by the travel bug they finally decided to head off on an adventure and started with Vietnam and Laos before heading to Sri Lanka, India, then Cambodia and Indonesia. Their mission is to explore as many off the beaten track places as possible through a slow travel philosophy on a tight budget.
UPDATE!!! After a few years of saving (thanks Covid) they finally did it. They now own DAKINI, a gorgeous Lagoon 421, and are (re) learning to sail while exploring the Mediterranean.
