In this episode we plod back down the Gulf of Gokova to see friends in Kissibuku before taking their recommendation, and reversing course for Camli. This bay wasn't on our radar however the opportunity to paddle board through attractive estuaries was enough to get us motivated, and we were not disappointed.
After a quick stop off in... Akbuk of course, we entered Camli, a large shallow bay with stunning views reminiscent of NZ's West Coast. From there Al took the paddle board right up through farmland getting some great footage of this unique environment. After a few nights here we sailed, finally making it into Tuzla, the anchorage that so far had been too busy. Exciting!

Al, from New Zealand and Kel from Australia met through work in 2010 and have been together ever since. Always infected by the travel bug they finally decided to head off on an adventure and started with Vietnam and Laos before heading to Sri Lanka, India, then Cambodia and Indonesia. Their mission is to explore as many off the beaten track places as possible through a slow travel philosophy on a tight budget.
UPDATE!!! After a few years of saving (thanks Covid) they finally did it. They now own DAKINI, a gorgeous Lagoon 421, and are (re) learning to sail while exploring the Mediterranean.
