This week on Escapade the clock starts working against us!
We kick things off by upgrading our guest cabin with a brand new custom mattress from Ship Shape Bedding. After templating the space, itâs time for the big momentâunpacking and fitting it onboard⊠and safe to say, it completely transforms the cabin.

With that done, itâs time to fire up the Sailrite for one of the first times. We take on some canvas repairs ourselves, learning as we go and slowly building confidence with the machine.
But plans change quicklyâŠ
With only a week left on our visa, we make a last-minute decision to sail from West Palm Beach down to Miamiâand the arrival does NOT disappoint. Pulling in at night with the skyline lit up is something we wonât forget anytime soon.
And this is just the beginning.
Weâve got a long list to get through before crossing the Pacificânew rigging, replacing our teak decks, tracking down important packages, and provisioning enough food to last us 4â6 months at sea.
The countdown is on.
