Day 2 of the 2026 Tornado European Championships at Lake Garda—and we decided to attempt a pretty dicey port-tack start.
It didn’t exactly go to plan.
After a short look at the first race, you’ll join us for the whole of Race 2 as Max and I fight our way back from the rear of the fleet. There were mistakes, difficult decisions and plenty of traffic—but also some genuinely fast sailing and a big comeback.
Two more races, spectacular Lake Garda scenery and another valuable day learning how to race this Tornado together.
