Tornado Europeans 2026 – DAY 1 | ONBOARD MULTICAM
Day 1 of the 2026 Tornado European Championships at Lake Garda—and it wasn’t the start we wanted.
We completed three races in lighter wind than we had hoped for. There were some poor starts, a few bad tactical decisions and results that leave us with plenty of work to do.
But it wasn’t all bad. There were moments when we had the Tornado properly flying and showed what the boat can do. The stronger conditions from our practice sailing feel much better suited to us, so we’ll be hoping for more wind as the championship continues.
This video includes all three starts and highlights from Races 2 and 3—along with the spectacular scenery surrounding the racecourse at Campione, Lake Garda.
Plenty learned. Time to come back stronger on Day 2.
