This week we began our lithium battery conversion on our 2017 Lagoon 42 sailing catamaran. We sat down with a professional and discussed the KiloVault HLX+ LiFePO4 batteries, the details of our design plan, and why the term “drop-in” oversimplifies the installation process of lithium batteries. We had our D400 wind turbines removed, new solar panels installed, and made some interior modifications to accommodate our new batteries. We are looking forward to continuing this project next week! 🔋🔌
