Harbors Unknown is the story of two dreamers, Kristin and Fabio Potenti, and our French Bulldog Yoda. We sold our home at the beginning of the pandemic (May 27th, 2020) and moved aboard our Seawind 1600 catamaran, SV Wanderlust, in September. We’re documenting boat life as live aboard sailors, sharing our learnings, sailing adventures, travel experiences and delicious meals cooked on board. We're sailing SV Wanderlust to Harbors Unknown, to explore the world’s vast cultures through food, a common thread amongst people everywhere. Connecting with people and places through the local cuisine, and showing how those dishes can be cooked on a boat with limited space and resources. We hope to inspire people and showcase the possibility of living an alternative lifestyle living on a boat that provides freedom and fulfillment. Just over a year ago, our dream to live on a boat and sail around the world became a reality when we moved aboard our new Seawind 1600 catamaran. It hasn’t been without challenges, getting caught in storms, boat repairs, and learning to be self-sufficient. However we feel alive, and the most valuable resource we have in this world is time. We wanted to make the most of our time here, experience everything this beautiful world has to offer and make an impact. So we’re sharing our journey with you. To inspire you to live your life with intention. Each day that passes is one less we have to live our dreams. So we have chosen to live a life of adventure. We don’t know what your dreams are but whatever they are, we encourage you to pursue them, one small step at a time. An alternative lifestyle is within reach.
