Down East Circle Part 4 - Course Overview

Just to illustrate where we are sailing in this seasons Down East Circle…
2.
Leg 1, Our shakedown cruise, is from Gaspe Quebec to Anse a Beufils, about 35 NM.
3.
Leg 2, will take is from Anse a Beaufils Quebec across Bay Chaleur to Miramichi New Brunswick, about 100 NM.
4.
Leg 3, 55NM, Miramichi New Brunswick to Buctouche New Brunswick.
5.
Leg 4, An easy day sail, 40NM from Buctouche to Summerside Prince Edward Island.
6.
Leg 5, East along Northhumberland Straight to Charlottetown Prince Edward Island, approximatly 45 NM.
7.
Leg 6, Crossing Northumberland Straight to Pictou and Caribou Island Nova Scotia, 40 NM.
8.
Leg 7, Another fine day sail under spinnaker, 45NM from our anchorage at Caribou Island to Ballantynes Cove, Nova Scotia.
9.
Leg 8, 40 NM. across St. George’s Bay then down through the Straight of Canso to Haddock Harbour, Isle Madame.
10.
Leg 9, A short, blustry, 20 mile sail from Haddock Harbour to Canso on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore.
11.
Legs 10, 11 & 12, – 25 miles from Canso to the beautiful, rugged anchorage at Yankee Cove. 55NM from Yankee Cove to the Liscombe Lodge in Liscombe Harbour. Another 50NM to anchor in Sally’s Cove, Popes Harbour.
12.
Leg 13, An easy day sail from Popes Harbour into downtown Halifax.
13.
Leg 14, A Foggy Day spent motoring 45NM from Halifax to Tantallon in St. Margaret’s Bay Nova Scotia, our last stop of the season.
