We decided to do something about it at our next stop near Spanish Wells in Eleuthera, Bahamas. We first tried troubleshooting from the electrical system but eventually realized we would have to take apart the windlass fully for service. This took some work. At the end, our windlass looks like its in good shape again to keep up anchoring.
While we were in Eleuthera, we made sure to see the sights around the beautiful town of Spanish Wells. We then headed off to the Glass Bridge and the Queen’s Baths to do some more exploring.

We are Dev (pronounced Dave) and Spandana (pronounced Spun-The-Nuh), a software engineer and developmental behavioral pediatrician, who gave up everything. Less than 6 months after learning how to sail, we bought a sailboat and jumped into full time cruising.
