Welcome to Folsom Ocean Views! We are two city kids that bought a 2017 Leopard 40 catamaran in the middle of a pandemic. Why? Because if we've learned one thing in 2020 it's that there is no time like the present. With very little prior experience, join us as we learn the ropes, or lines, and as we explore and experience the world. We spent the last ~20 years totally landlocked in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. Charles made his way down to the Empire State of the South from VA Beach to attend college at Georgia Tech. Jes, a native Kansas girl, moved to the area in high school and eventually matriculated form University of Georgia. We met at our first job out of college in 2007, and were married by 2012. We are both still working our AMAZING jobs as a way of supporting our dream of living a bit outside of the lines. We have hinted at needing to be north of Cape Hatteras a few times but haven’t properly explained why. Our boat insurance agreement stipulates that we have to be north of Cape Hatteras for Hurricane Season. Since we boat the boat in Fort Lauderdale during Hurricane Season we were able to negotiate an extension to give us time to get north. That time is just about up so it’s time to get moving and get the boat just a bit farther north. And low and behold, our port engine started giving us trouble the very next morning and I decided to try to repair it myself.
