Welcome to Folsom Ocean Views! We are two city kids that bought a 2017 Leopard 40 catamaran in the middle of a pandemic. Why? Because if we've learned one thing in 2020 it's that there is no time like the present. With very little prior experience, join us as we learn the ropes, or lines, and as we explore and experience the world. We spent the last ~20 years totally landlocked in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. Charles made his way down to the Empire State of the South from VA Beach to attend college at Georgia Tech. Jes, a native Kansas girl, moved to the area in high school and eventually matriculated form University of Georgia. We met at our first job out of college in 2007, and were married by 2012. We are both still working our AMAZING jobs as a way of supporting our dream of living a bit outside of the lines. Our time window to get to Annapolis was rapidly closing as we waited for some good weather. To cut the time down while we were waiting, we decied to take our catamaran on an ICW sailing road trip. We wouldn’t recommend doing it the way we did, but 231 nautical miles over 4 days made us ICW experts. And let me tell you, between Charleston and Beaufort there are about a million bridges to go through, including one that is notorious for being lower than 65 feet. Join us as we start to make our way north!
