We Found the WILDEST Island in the Caribbean
We thought we knew what Caribbean adventure looked like… then we got to Dominica.
This island completely blew us away. We chased waterfalls through the rainforest, swam beneath one of them, explored the famous Indian River, stepped into a filming location from Pirates of the Caribbean, and somehow discovered that driving a tiny rental car through Dominica’s steep, rain-soaked mountain roads can be an adventure all by itself.
And just when we thought we'd packed enough adventure into one island, it was time to say goodbye to Dominica and continue sailing south to Martinique.
There, Kasey and the boys decided sailing to another Caribbean island wasn't quite enough… so they climbed Mount Pelée, Martinique's highest peak and an active volcano. Meanwhile, Lily and I chose a slightly different kind of adventure back on Isla... baking. 😂
This episode is everything we love about living aboard and sailing the Caribbean with our kids: incredible places, unexpected moments, a little chaos, and experiences we'll never forget.
And our journey south isn't over yet.
Next stop: Grenada. Isla is getting hauled out for hurricane season, and we're trading boat life for a little time back in Idaho with family.
