After spending our first season sailing the Caribbean as a family, we returned home to Idaho... and suddenly, going back to boat life didn't feel quite as simple as we thought it would.
Being home meant family, friends, mountains, camping, birthdays, Yellowstone, and everything we had left behind. The longer we stayed, the harder it became to ignore the question: Are we making a mistake by leaving all of this again?
Then Hurricane Beryl tore through the Caribbean, devastating Carriacou and passing dangerously close to where Isla was stored in Grenada.
Suddenly, returning to our sailboat wasn't just an emotional decision, we were waiting to find out what we'd even be returning to.
This episode closes out our first season of Finding Our Isla and the year that completely changed our family. And as we prepare to return to Grenada, one thing is already going to be very different: not everyone who started this adventure with us will be coming back.
Thank you for being part of our first season. ❤️
Season 2 is coming next.
