CANNIBALIZING Our BOAT...how else can I solve problems MID ATLANTIC | Day 5 at SEA
Day 5 of our Atlantic Crossing, and we officially hit 25% of the passage — a full quarter of the way across. Last night was rough: confused seas, swell from multiple directions, and a whole lot of rolling. None of us filmed because honestly… we were just hanging on.
Today was a mix of tired crew, boat projects, and fixing Dingo’s ear (again). Jade built a new double-sided “steampunk” ear splint out of leftover plexiglass, Brett did a full deck check, we battled our confused solar numbers, gave the dogs baths, and tried to keep the boat happy on wing-on-wing. Oh—and none of our devices agree what time it is anymore.
Not a dramatic day, but a real one. Just the middle-of-the-ocean rhythm: naps, soft shackles, fruit baskets, frozen grapes, messy seas, and the slow march westward.
