In this weeks video we are going to look in on Dustins off grid solar powered homested. He uses three Growatt 5000es inverter/chargers 13kw of solar panels and 830ah of 48v liFePO4 batteries. He shares his configuration settings and system architecture.
He decided to install one of our BankManagers to protect his lithium investment from low current overcharge and especially to keep it from being floated or discharged during the day by his inverter/chargers.
He feels he is getting more power from his system and will get a longer life from his battery bank. In the video he shares the Settings he uses to get the performance he wants from his system. You might notice in the video he is currently only charging his li to 95%. I think once he gets more comfortable with the system it’s likely he will turn that up to 100%.
