Day five of sailing offshore to Greenland and everyone has settled into a rhythm. Like a pendulum, Paragon rolls from side to side as she moves forward in variable wind and we struggle to find a balance with our sails. The droning of the engine wears on the crew at the best of times…can a burst of wind save us from the constant noise? Stay with us!
Note: At minute 14:29 Drake says that Ireland is a part of the Schengen Agreement. At the time this was filmed, we had more than a few sources telling us that Ireland was Schengen. For example in our copy of Jimmy Cornell’s book “World Cruising Handbook (copyright 2010) it says “Ireland is a member of the EU and Schengen Agreement”. So at the time we were pretty sure Ireland was Schengen. However later we did discover that Ireland is actually not a part of the Schengen Agreement, and we spent a wonderful winter in lovely Kinsale! 🙂
