Some of the best of the west! Fishing, whale watching and snorkelling and kayaking up Yardie Creek
September 15, 2021 by Cruising Sunrise | Language: EN Play Time: 00:22:14 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

We sail north to Shark Bay and on the way up we catch a Wahoo and Russ shows us how to fillet it. We explore Dirk Hartog Island with Rachel and Rob from @TheCruisingKiwis. Dirk Hartog Island is only accessible by boat or ferry and has some of the best fishing in Australia as well as a remote camp site. Then it was up to Coral Bay where we snorkelled the beautiful massive reef there with Keith from @SailingZatara. After sitting out some weather there we continued our northerly sail up to Boat Passage which is also on the famous World Heritage Ningaloo Reef. Snorkelling was again magnificent here and we saw a giant groper just cruising amongst the bommies. We dinghied up to Yardie Creek with Andrew and Donna from Fremantle and Jason and Sharon from Slow Motion. We took our Hobie Kayaks up the creek and admired the abundant wildlife on the creek edge cliffs – endemic Black Faced Rock Wallabies and Osprey.
