OMG!! SEXY & BEAUTIFUL WIFE jumps into the deep blue ocean! ...Ep40

Our sailing ‘the big lap’ around Australia continues. We sail to Pearson Island, go ashore with our dinghy and almost swamp it with the big swell on the beach. We explore the incredible landscape that is inhabited by sea lions and their cubs and endemic rock wallabies. @SailingZatara ,@TheCruisingKiwis , our friends on Slow Motion and we set out from here to cross The Great Australian Bight. We are met by calm seas and easy down wind sailing. On the second day the conditions are so beautiful that we all decide to strip off and swim in the middle of the Bight. It is 5000m deep and a beautiful blue. This is a unique experience that not many people can claim. We have made such good time that on the last night, we have to slow the boat down to 4 knots, so we will arrive in daylight. We turn the engines off and pull in all the sails and just drift with the current. As planned, we arrive at Middle Island early in the morning and are immediately struck by the almost unbelieveable colour of the famous Pink Lake. Even more exciting is the fact that we have made it across the bight! Wow!! After many months of planning, watching the weather and hearing stories of terrible crossings, we are massively relieved to have made it safely…and what’s more, we have done it very comfortably. Was it good planning or are we very lucky or both?
