Continuing on with Sail Malaysia Go East Rally, we visited Tioman Island, then Terengganu, then on to the Anambas Islands where we visited a folk music festival. From there we cruised to Kuching in Sarawak and got to see Urang Utans in the local sanctuary and the Rainforest Music Festival (which was completely amazing in terms of talent and organisation and cultural experiences). From there continued up the NW coast of Borneo to Kota Kinabalu, Kudat and then on to Sandakan and the magnificent Sipidan Island for exceptional snorkelling with large schools of fish and turtles.
Then after visiting Kudat and Kota Kinabalu again we headed north to Palawan in the Philippines. We stopped at various islands until we found Sunset Moorings on Busuanga Island – fabulous moorings and lots of white sandy islands with clear water and beautiful coral and marine life. Had lots of fun with friends from Australia and from the rally. Kurt and Abby brought Harry for his first boating holiday and we had a wonderful time with them.
