Arctic Sailing | Landfall Svalbard (Spitsbergen) | Bushpoint Sailing | Ep. 41
Now we are very much sailing in the Arctic, 5 degrees in the water, and we make landfall in Svalbard, sometimes called Spitsbergen.
After our icy plunge at Bear Island, we set our sails northward across the Barents Sea — destination: Svalbard! In this episode, we arrive at Bellsund, one of the southern fjords of Spitsbergen, and drop anchor after an intense stretch of open-water sailing.
Exhausted but thrilled, we take a few days to rest and soak in the surreal Arctic beauty before continuing our voyage deeper into the high north.
