2 special Arctic 'cities' | Arctic Ice in our 'sundowner' | Bushpoint Sailing | Ep 46
We went shore and explored 2 special 'cities' in the Arctic, Ny-Ålesund and New London and we got Arctic ice in our GT, we could say sundowner but the sun doesn't set this time of year.
We go ashore at New London in Svalbard, enjoying a magnificent evening anchored in a peaceful bay. On the 150th anniversary of Roald Amundsen's birth, we visit Ny-Ålesund, the place from where Amundsen embarked on his historic journey with the airship NORWAY to become the first to reach the North Pole!
We also stopped by the pub Mellageret—but, well, we didn’t film that part! 😂
