In this video we upgrade some of our boats insulation with some 1/2 inch foam puzzle piece floor mats. It turns out these foam mats are very easy to work with and they much look better than having reflectix insulation on the side of the v-berth. The reflectix definitely helped with our moisture problem, but we still got a bit of condensation. On top of that…it wasn’t the prettiest to look at. Sorta felt like sleeping in side of a chip bag…So we replaced it with some new foam that we think looks and feels a million times better!
Moisture is still public-enemy number one on the sailboat. Thanks a lot to our neighbours who have continued to provide advice regarding this challenge. Nowadays it rarely causes us very much grief!
