Right when we thought we were out of the thick of it, we were hit with a massive wind storm and freezing cold snap… in late February! One of the biggest challenges we face as winter liveaboards is the COLD!

Weather plays a huge role in our lives, especially during winter boat life. We live in a cold, humid, and rainy climate. everyday we are finding new ways to make life as a live aboard more comfortable. In this episode we experience a late season cold snap and take you along for our daily routines while living on the boat during winter. These include removing logs that wash in from winter storms, dealing with the changing elements, winter storms, and trying to stay warm. On days like these we still make sure to get outside as much as we can and warm up with hot meals and the heated blanket! We continue to make our little home more comfortable as we learn from our community and try out new techniques. That being said, we are so ready for spring weather!
