This episode is the first we’ve done apart. Many parts of living on the sailboat are a lot easier with two people to share the chores and such, but there is a peace and simplicity to enjoying the small space solo, on occasion. If anything, it gives you a bit more personal “space” that you might not otherwise have in a 20ft living area.

We are grateful to live in a time when it is possible for young people to experience this type of lifestyle, without the need of too much capital or trouble. This is even more true when thinking about living by yourself, because the cost to rent a single bedroom apartment in our city is far out of reach for most people.
