In this episode I take you along for a week of my life while unemployed and living on a sailboat! Iâve finished my semester at school and am currently in that âin between zoneâ where Iâm searching for work. But in the mean time, Iâm super grateful to have these days to work away at boat projects! We still have lots to do to prepare for cruising, but after this week we are so much closer! PLUS we have a huge announcement we are excited to share with you soon!
Itâs amazing how many little tasks build up, and although they seem small and simple, they make a huge difference once theyâre done! I finally finished the spring cleaning, minimizing all of our things and making sure Blue Moon is in tip-top shape for the summer. I also finish up some dinghy maintenance and everyday activities like filling up our freshwater tanks and bailing out the dinghy after a big rainfall. Finally, I give you a tour of our DIY privacy curtains for the boat and give them some much needed TLC.

If you are new to the channel, Blue Moon is a 1978 Catalina 30 sailing vessel which we acquired in 2020. One year later we decided it was time for a road trip and built out a 1998 Delica to drive across the country. Now we live aboard the boat full-time, take weekend trips in the van, and explore this beautiful world.
