In this video we captured some footage of a windy winter storm. Storms can be challenging when living on a boat because the movement of the waves and wind causes the boat to rock and creak. The wind makes howling sounds through the rigging and it can be hard to sleep with the loud noises.
If you are new to this channel, we live full time on a 30 ft Catalina sailboat. So far we love living aboard, but there are some challenges. As Gillian mentions in the video, our lifestyle becomes much more dependent on what the weather is doing: if it is sunny, we can use our deck space. If it is raining, we need to put up the tarp. And when we get gail force winds…we need to batten things up and hope nothing is damaged.
