We sold our house, bought a sailboat and are exploring the incredible cruising area on Canada's west coast. Catherine and I are grateful to be living, working and playing, in the traditional territories of Skwxwu7mesh (Squamish) Indigenous People. We sail on a 2014 Hanse 415. Based out of Squamish, British Columbia Canada, we are in love with sailing and can't wait to experience all the West Coast has to offer. After years of dreaming, researching, looking, and endless hours of watching reviews on youtube, we found our dreamboat. Barlovento, a 2014 Hanse 415. As we first saw her just as the pandemic was beginning, we were fortunate to have found her when we did. Boats have become tough to find on the West Coast. With no travel, people are staying close to home and finding new ways to recreate. Boating seems to have exploded! Armed with an iphone, we are excited to share our story and our sailing adventures with you.
At the time of most of the filming, we didn’t really know we would be doing this so the footage isn’t ideal. We’ll get there!
