From repairing fibreglass, fixing electronics, cleaning up the cosmetics and many many more jobs, this new phase of our adventure is going to be very exciting. We are looking forward to getting Barefoot 2.0 up to cruising standards! In this episode of Barefoot Sail and Dive we show you the importance of a peel test and why you should always test your materials before using them. We got 15 galleons of new epoxy over the weekend in Santo Domingo. It is not west system and we’ve never used this product before. To make sure it works properly and to learn more about the product we have conducted a peel test.
We found out with our conditions we need to use 33% opposed to the 25% we originally thought. It’s very interesting to see how well the new product works.
Don’t worry we are conducting one more test as well to double check everything!
