Davy and I (Erica) have recently upgraded to a hurricane damaged catamaran! This new chapter is going to push us in very different ways. From repairing fibreglass, fixing electronics, cleaning up the cosmetics and many many more jobs, this new phase of our adventure is going to be very exciting. We are looking forward to getting Barefoot 2.0 up to cruising standards! Our hurricane boat comes back to life! Leaving San Juan Bay both of us were full of anxiety and excitement! We were ready for a new adventure!
Thank you to our good friend Justin at Magicwing for the spectacular drone footage! Our drone is unfortunately in storage in Cayman so we are super excited to have some new drone footage to play with!
During this crossing we had many engine issues! And of course everything always seems to happen at night!
We made it into Luperon after 300nm and 53 hours on the ocean! We enjoyed the sunsets and sunrises and we had a beautiful nearly full moon!
